Hello, I’m Keri Barron
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, I provide evidence-based counselling for families and individuals affected by eating disorders. I practice from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens and I am aligned with Health at Every Size. This work was shaped by both professional experience and lived experience, and by a belief that understanding, support, and clear guidance are essential in the recovery process.
For individuals struggling with an eating disorder, or for caregivers and parents facing the daily challenge of how to support a loved one, the experience can feel confusing and overwhelming. Many families arrive feeling unsure about what is happening or how to help. My role is to help individuals and families better understand the eating disorder and to offer support that is grounded in both research and real-life experience.

Experience In Mental Health
I have more than thirty years of experience working in mental health, including many years supporting individuals and families who have experienced trauma. Earlier in my career I specialized in sexual trauma counselling and have worked with children, teens, adults, and seniors in a variety of settings.
As part of my graduate work, I developed an Eating Disorder Prevention Manual for middle school-aged children, reflecting a long-standing commitment to education and prevention.
